Anna Rolskaia is a Russian abstract artist and hand lettering artist based in Portugal.

For 4 years of her career she has been mostly focusing on hand lettering and illustrating.

In the beginning of 2020 she switched to abstract painting and collages. She held her first solo exhibition in early June in Lisbon, Portugal.

Now Anna is working on her next series of large canvas paintings where she‘s experimenting with colors and textures along with some expressive strokes and shapes. She always starts having no clear plan of what she’s working towards in order to challenge herself and come to unpredictable and never-before-seen outcome. With the use of the most unexpected and incompatible colors, on the go she’s figuring out what her painting is all about.

With her daily practice she wants to fight her fear of imperfection and achieve more freedom when it comes to creating things.
